Three undergrads I work with did a great job presenting their work on Elodea in the Copper River Delta of Alaska today at @NDscience #COSJAM!! @crhite01 talked about his thesis assessing the impacts of Elodea on sockeye while Gracie and Jace talked about the impacts on food webs!

Hey! I’m finishing my last week of classes at Notre Dame, and in just a few months I’m off to start my PhD at the Duke University Integrated Toxicology and Environmental Health Program. I couldn’t be more excited for this next step :) Go Irish…and Blue Devils!

Yesterday I had the great pleasure of serving on a panel "Researching the Climate Crisis" hosted by @ND_GSG and Ben Francis. It was great hearing about climate change research across disciplines from other panelists, @billkakenmaster (PoliSci) and Tim Fab-Eme (English/Anthro)

Starting stable isotope analysis of Alaskan Freshwater organisms this week, including this cool freshwater sponge collected by @Fish_finatic! I’m investigating if the invasive Elodea plant is being incorporated in the local food web, especially the base of salmon food chains 🐟🌿

Excited to be helping @crhite01 prepare samples for stable isotope analysis as part of his senior thesis work!
