“Drink this juice… I’ll give you chocolate,” she said.
Then she forced the 4-year-old boy to drink acid, disguised as fruit juice.

Satish Kumar and Anjamma have 2 sons-- Nagaraju (married to Sandhya) and Jagadeesh (married to Manjula).
Both the couples have a son each.
Nagaraju and Sandhya’s son, Karthik is 4 years old.
Jagadeesh and Manjula’s son is younger.
Manjula developed jealousy because the grandparents gave more attention to Sandhya’s son Karthik.
The trigger was when the grandfather got a tattoo of Karthik’s name on his arm.
Manjula made several attempts to murder Karthik. She tried to suffocate him once, but Sandhya intervened. Manjula said, she was just playing with the boy.
Another time, she tried to throw Karthik from the terrace but was stopped by the grandfather.
On 9th April, she lured him into the kitchen and promised to give him a chocolate, if he drank the ‘juice’ (acid). The boy drank the acid and screamed in pain.
The family heard his screams and rushed to the kitchen.
They took the boy to a hospital.
His condition is said to be stable.
Manjula has been booked for attempt to murder.
