On this dry surface where the bounce is not true, once again, Shami's lethal wicket to wicket 140 KPH bolts is going to be key to strike. But there's one more person who has to set the tone for that. Siraj - who can also bowl at high pace & wicket to wicket. Shouldn't give freebies to Head/Warner & let them get away. Hopefully a lethal new ball spell from Jas Das n co! ✌️

Ind end up with 240 which is par score on an extremely difficult pitch , if dew doesn’t arrive. Yes ideally 270 but this won’t be an easy chase by any means. If dew doesn’t arrive ind will defend this. Aus need to be 61/1 after power play to stay ahead of this chase.

The tournament Virat Kohli has had is a testament to his fitness and work ethic as an elite athlete as much as it has been about his batting and cricketing genius. What a star!

First 10.2 overs - 81/3 Next 12.4 overs - 44 runs But more importantly, no wicket was lost. That's the consolidation that India were after & it always comes at the cost of runs.

48 runs in 14 overs since powerplay at 3.42 and yet overall run rate remains at 5.33. That pretty much sums up what Rohit did up front. #CWC23Final

Amidst many things I'll remember from this World Cup edition, Rohit Sharma's intent with which he came out taking on the bowlers will rank amongst the top. Most runs for a captain in a single edition of the World Cup:

Excellent toss to lose for india. Pitch Will get a bit slower as the match progresses. Ind need 312 which is average winning score in this surface. India need to be 61/1 after 10 overs to get closer to 312.

Rohit and Kohli, guys historically there's always been panic in running between the wickets for you two. Please please none of it today, settle down soon.
