@miffynocals oh absolutely, it's always prevalent in spaces where there are vulnerable younger people. I definitely don't think it should be normalized or even seen as entirely good, but i also don't think it should be demonized

@cringefail97606 we shouldn't forget grooming and harassment do happen here, just like any other internet community and that edtwt isn't free of dangers. the negative stereotypes have the benefit of keeping people away, edtwt does normalize disordered behaviour. normalization is harmful.

so glad i grew out of the showering once a week depression to the showering twice a day depression because as an adult moldy cups and not flossing for 6 months is embarrassing and im tired of ppl trying to normalize it bc “mental health bad”
