It was barely 3 against purple or some blue encounters I’ve had before the update Before the nerf you already had time to react, I’ve been killed plenty of times on failed knife ambush The only thing that needed to be changed was distance and auto lock, this whole nerf everything that’s semi strong meta that’s happening is not it

@goycattleman @MarathonTheGame It’ll likely be 3 melee attacks. Idk where ur getting 5 from tbh. Either way the knife should be used a a back up option or if you catch someone off guard but that person she still be able to react considering some of the abilities runners have.

The knife is typically used when catching someone off guard. When you now have to stab someone more than 3-4 times, possibly 5 times, catching someone off guard doesn’t matter now nor does that close range positioning because they can just turn around and blast you or alert their team instantly. The reward of catching someone off guard or sneaky positioning reward is now being offset by the damage nerf its self explanatory so your question makes zero sense. Now the next thing to happen because people got their way with the knife nerf, is “wahhh someone took my purple because they unloaded only a entire full mag with the wstr from point blank 2 feet away, plz devs it needs to be nerfed it’s too strong” (skill issue) If someone is close enough to sneak up on you, or corner you, and stab you directly in the face multiple times, regardless of your shield, you deserve to die and lose your gear. Period. Skill issue
