@bdhills @DomIzzoWDAY I do not like seeing Coaches removed but I was adamant that I resigned due to my business expansion and I was NOT forced out. That is true and should not be a scar towards Shanley.

@DomIzzoWDAY Hmmm..Knodel, Alderman, Burns, Paper, Irwin and now Webber, all since 2012, all forced out.

Breaking news out of Fargo tonight; WDAY has learned that both head basketball coaches at Shanley have been let go. Stefan Webber and Beth Maher are out. Sources tell me a group of unhappy parents forced the changes for each basketball program.

@HotMicWDAY @WDAYSports I always coached till the end! Most leagues I coached in had tie breakers for standings as point differential. Getting a home game or a higher seed in a tourney because of a bucket missed or made can change a season!

UPDATED: From 2020 CRAIG IRWIN: 1981 Sawyer graduate. Averaged 27.2 ppg as a senior. Game high of 47 points. Played for Lake Region Community College for two years. Recieved his AA degree from Lake Region. Later graduating from Minot State with his BS degree, and his Master's from NDSU. Assistant basketball coach at Minot State under Dick Limke from 1990-1993. Head coach of the Sawyer-Surrey Blue Sox Legion baseball team where he compiled a 647-157 record and 3 state championships, 1989, 1994, 1995. Head baseball coach at MSU-Bottineau in 1999-2000. Record setting 2000 Mon-Dak champions. Head mens basketball coach at NDSCS in Wahpeton from 2001-2008, where he compiled a 212-48 record and took 7th in the NJCAA tourney in 2004. Craig has owned and operated Irwin Insurance Services since 2011. Craig and his wife Dianne live in Fargo. Craig has 3 children, Tawny, Blaze, and Tylee.

@McFeely_Inforum Mike, I have had a daughter who had a gun stuck to her head and robbed by 5 individuals. Life threatened! She had one of her best friends murdered. I have had former players I coached gunned down all in that city. We can’t live in fear but please quit telling us how SAFE it is!
