@WafflesInfo @DJ___129 Wanting people to understand you makes you thick. Got it, how did I never realise?

The accent British people put on when they talk to someone from a different country will always make me laugh

@jelle_van_baar @GGBreakingPoint @LAThieves lol yeah no way he felt like a 94. 84 at best. Weird rating tbh

@allastras @Ole_is_right @Ellis_ I don't agree, it would make more sense if you tipped on what service was provided imo
You get a 3 course meal, tip 50 dollars
You get drinks, tip 10 dollars
If you can see what I am saying, basing it of price doesn't always match the work done by the server.
English

@croclover217 @Ole_is_right @Ellis_ The price of what you spend is what dictates the tip because the tip is what fills the gap of the server not getting a minimum wage. The work is essentially the same, btw. Walking to the table, delivering food, making small talk, being polite. Especially with difficult customers,

American tipping culture intrigues me so much. They deadass want a $120 for bringing plates to a table? Is that not a bit absurd.

@allastras @Ole_is_right @Ellis_ The people in my example are at the same restaurant, I still don't see how the people wo ordered the steak are required to pay a bigger tip. The waiters did less work
English

@croclover217 @Ole_is_right @Ellis_ The tip should be representative of the order cost. If two rich people go into a restaurant and order a $500 meal, they can clearly afford the tip. The waitperson got that job by being exceptionally good at it. Working at a high end restaurant, you should be able to expect better
English

@allastras @Ole_is_right @Ellis_ I'm not saying to not tip at all, just that the price of what I order shouldn't affect the size of the tip
For example say 2 people order a bottle of wine and a steak each for $50 5 people order 5 salads and 5 glasses of coke for 40$ why should the person who served less people
English

@Ole_is_right @Ellis_ Why does the price of the food affect the tip size? I don't understand. The price of the food doesn't change how much work is being done by the staff
English

120 on a 577 bill, is right at the market rate (albeit slightly over). 20% is what you’re supposed to tip here; +\- a bit depending on quality of service and amount of work your table requires (more people = more tip; more drinks/complications = more tip).
For a 577 bill, it means either
1) they’re at a nice restaurant;
2) they’re at an okay restaurant with a lot of people;
3) they’re at an okay restaurant with a few people, and they all drank enough to black out
In any of those events, I’d say 120 is fair.

@SpacemanRory "Apologies before I open hand slap you" is a threat to assault in my opinion. If not intended to be perceived as a threat, why would he even day it?

@RightsWakandan @Soup4myfam @Imani_Barbarin What if he heard it from a rap song? Are you insinuating that's a improper genre of music to listen to?
English

@Soup4myfam @Imani_Barbarin No. We would ask his parents where he heard that shit from, and for him to be raised better.

Ok, how should Black people feel then?
Black people are recognizing it wasn’t intentional, but there are people that left that room in tears.
The apology from the BBC was inadequate, so, what next?

@Imani_Barbarin And that is the BBC's fault. Not Tourrettes. Tourrettes isn't racist, it can't do a racism. Its a disability IMANI! COMMON! HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THIS?
