feels like the market is bouncing mostly due to mechanical reasons from very over sold levels hormuz is still effectively closed, and military operations on both sides are continuing my base case is that we eventually go lower after the energy from the bounce fades

checking in on the normies in my life this oil shock situation is almost completely off their radar they are aware we are at war and they are aware in the abstract that gas prices are higher but nothing has personally hit them yet, and they have zero awareness of the oil shortages happening in other countries we really are playing out the beginnings of COVID here

don't know who is winning this war, and I don't know if this benefits america or china more what I do know is that the government is non-stop lying about the situation *and* manipulating the markets which makes sense start the war, hit iran hard and try to accomplish as much as possible before high prices hit and markets tank because once that happens the pressure from the american people will be intense what I'm doing is positioning for when reality reestablishes itself and the government can no longer control the markets I'm long oil and have some small put spreads on spy I've sold all my other assets in preparation for a market wide washout if we do see a market washout I plan on scooping up high quality assets (e.g. gold and bitcoin)

my gut is starting to get bullish on crypto again more specifically bullish on $BTC, $HYPE, and $CRCL btc is making higher lows despite the conflict in Iran and stock indicies looking weak, saylor's $STRC product holding steady at $100 while he uses proceeds to buy a ton of coins hyperliquid becoming *the* place to trade during the weekends which is drawing in regular traders looking to speculate on macro events, all while regulators are clearling the path for perps circle is starting to out compete tether on volume while stablecoin market cap is making new highs, ai agents are exponentially increasing in number and capabilities and they are starting to use stablecoins for transactions, government is supporting stablecoins because they advance America's geopolitical goals
