Battered, and bruised, and 86 staples. The hip replacement where they missed the fact they fractured the femur when inserting the titanium spike, resulting in another 5+ hours surgery to repair the mess two days later It hurts a bit.

I went to a comp in one of the poorest wards in Birmingham. I grew up without a single political or media connection. I grew up working class though I now have a middle class job. My entire family is working class. My Dad is from a few miles down the road in Hartlepool. How has this system represented me, exactly?

Spot on. We’ve come to fetishise “local representatives” far too much, a symptom of our politics becoming smaller and more parochial. What we need is quality national politicians. If they have to be “parachuted” in, and they spend more time in SW1 than the constituency, so be it.
