Thank you to our community for their support during CMHW. Our student leaders have been amazing, our events good fun and we have raised awareness and money for our communities wellbeing. Today we ended the week with our 'Staff Singer Behind The Curtain' event.

Students had a really interesting session today with alumna Gabrielle Joyce (Newcastle 1st Class graduate and new-hire at NATO in Brussels) picking up lots of tips on how to target opportunities and maximise their options in a competitive future! Lovely to have you back, Gabby!

Rehearsals are underway for tonight's Big Band and Choir with Rossendale Valley Sounds' performance! Tickets are £4 and available on ParentPay, plus tickets will be available on the door tonight. All proceeds will go towards instruments and music for the Big Band and Choir.

Our Y9 boys indoor cricket team kept their 100% win record by beating Halifax Academy, and in doing so earn their place in the Calderdale final against grammar school rivals North Halifax. We look forward to the final taking place on Tuesday 11th February.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Sue Lord (Rumbold), after a brief battle with Motor Neurone Disease. She was awarded an MBE for her outstanding services. This prestigious honor reflects her lifelong commitment and the profound impact she made on countless lives.

Yesterday, 6 of our wonderful students in KS3 took part in @CalderdaleSGO Secondary Ten Pin Challenge. Well done to all of the other schools that took part too and a special thanks to St. James' Place for sponsoring the event and Panathlon for being an ambassador!!

Sri, one of our Year 7 students, participated in the Hastings International Chess Congress. He began the competition ranked 79th but made remarkable progress to finish in 30th position, earning 5 points after 9 rounds—a fantastic achievement!
