BG3 also has a bit of a rancid tumblr/fan service vibe about it that i really do not fuck with.
My entire experience with the game after Act 1 was basically just wishing i was playing DOS2 instead.

from a technical perspective BG3 is an incredible game. unfortunately its plot and characters feel like they were written by Joss Whedon.
Divinity Original Sin 2 clears BG3 by a mile, due to its genuinely interesting story, characters and better combat mechanics.

It's fully correct to admit that Larian made one of the best RPGs, maybe even overall games, of all time while simultaneously acknowledging that they quite seriously fumbled large aspects of that same game.
