@crowbro19 Yeah but look at the 50 percent case. If you say no, you get 90 days (3 months) at full pay. At the half rate, if they cut you in 6 months you get same.

The thought process for taking a pay cut is a mix of being financially desperate while not having the means to sell yourself. Not hating since we all end up in circumstances. Wrestling is an industry tho where you can control your worth more unlike plumber, teacher, etc.

A pretty majorly pushed talent was reportedly asked to take a 50% pay cut last week and allegedly did. The name of the talent is unknown as it cannot be confirmed 100% that this was the case, but the timing of that claim was interesting as it took place a day before news broke of Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods’ departure. If you’re a wrestler that gets offered big money in WWE, you have to be cognizant of the fact that unless you get over as a top talent and/or big merch seller, WWE is gonna try to get out of that deal as soon as possible. Main roster minimum is $350,000. If you’re like, a midcarder and they throw 500 bands at you, you’re getting that for a year bro. You’re gonna get whacked. Unless you find yourself a YEET.
