my VR dev skills are just hella soft rn. No VR contracting clients, no serious vr projects to work on. I haven't worked on a VR project in over a year at this point. The ai centric projects are still strong, though not as strong as 6 months ago but VR projects r dead

@bmfshow yeah, like technically almost any game could work in VR, but are people gonna buy your VR game so that you make your money back that you spent on it.... no people don't make AAA games VR because gamers don't spend AAA money on VR games

The only viable answer in 2025 for the pragmatic dev is develop flat first. It’s an absolute bummer but meta sees the forest and the trees. It will take us longer to get there because the headsets are uncomfortable and cumbersome compared to phones. The medium is early.
