Op deze dag in 1740 werd de Nederlandse schrijfster Belle van Zuylen geboren. Haar (Franstalige) werk genoot grote populariteit in de Verlichting. Hoewel veel van haar geschriften in vergetelheid zijn geraakt, worden haar novelles en brieven nog steeds veel gelezen

Het nieuwe natuurgebied Noordma van @drentslandschap is onder water gelopen! Een cruciale schakel in het Hunzedal tussen Tusschenwater en Zuidlaardermeer. En de vogels doen alsof het nooit anders is geweest.

@Roumissette No, it isn't, although some scholars believe there is a connection with Egypt. This statue should represent a person belonging to the so called Seafarers that fought heavy battles with the old Egyptians.
