@sanguispalm I really don't like fighting Fallen in a video game. I really don't like backtracking. I really don't like the fixed camera. I really don't like finding mandatory items. I really don't like the platforming in this game.
The problem is not in the cutscenes.

DMC 3 is a means to understand what it means to be human and what it means to have the strength to protect something as intangible as love.
Reboot doesn’t explain anything and is left on a cliff hanger without a means to continue or expand upon a moral.

I mean as a whole dmc3 is the pinnacle of what defined hack and slash games, sure the mechanics of the de-boot are intermediate, the whole premise of dmc3 is like life itself: It isn’t meant to be easy. The mazes are what make the game supernatural and interesting.

@sanguispalm As a cartoon, DMC 3 is better than the reboot. Maybe you watched the game movie and got goosebumps from that scene with Vergil "Jackpot." You love how Dante despite being so cool, he can't finish his pizza. But this game has terrible gameplay where you have to navigate mazes.

I watched DMC 4 and DMC 5 on YouTube without playing the games. But in a video game, I want to play a video game.

@R3fr3sh1n9S0d4 I abandoned DMC 3 on hard difficulty when, due to poor level design, I couldn't find Nevan yet again.

Once you defeat the clown, you need to return to the gate, which is invisible.
The pinnacle of game design was Chapter 15, where you have to switch teleporters.

and I agree with you, some bits were fun but the overall game itself was supposed to be the next big thing when instead: became the biggest downgrade in the history of downgrades.

@sanguispalm I stand by my words regarding the reboot. This game has many facets. It has fantastic level design, enjoyable platforming, and its gameplay ideas, like coolparry, are very cool. I'd even like to see how this idea is developed in Part 5.

but Let’s also give praise to the game that makes the main character seem like an emo omega male who is a sex addict, and has his father CBT’D as opposed to the REAL DMC Dante counterpart who has been r*ped by a woman and has been through enough trauma.

@RinoTheBouncer This game is so good that it's literally an achievement of Western civilization. It's a shame that this game was a marketing ploy to attract DMC fans to Part 5. But it's good that the same developers made Part 5.
