3 is 🔑 Happy 3 year stonkaversary to the OG jpeg cult 📈 @Ledgart_io

Three years ago, Wonky Stonks dropped as a stealth launch free mint. It started off as an experiment to dip my toes into the NFT space while giving back to my community. I wanted to introduce traders to generative digital art with something they would resonate with - charts. I never expected to make life long friendships and meet such awesome people after the launch. One of the OG community members sent me this yesterday - and it really does sum up how I think the majority of the Wonky Stonk family feels, so I thought I’d share it with y’all. I believe NFTs will make a comeback. Any sector that dies in this space usually doesn’t stay dead. I heard multiple times the past couple of bear markets that alts would never have a run again. They always do. NFTs have only had their first cycle, and digital art is something I believe is truly transcendent, especially when it has historical significance and a diehard community of collectors at its core. When it happens it’ll be obvious in retrospect. Cheers to everyone who’s been here for any part of this journey. In the big picture of things, we’re just getting started. Wonky Stonks are inevitable.

The Wonky Stonks mint is live on ledgart.io As a way to give back to the community and encourage a healthy distribution, the first mint per wallet is free.

When I say that Bitcoin is a currency of distrust, I'm just repeating what Bitcoin fans themselves say. There may be good reasons not to trust the banks and governments that create dollars, yens, and other currencies – but that doesn’t change the fact that the preference for Bitcoin is based on distrust of human institutions. Why is this an alarming development? Because the whole purpose of money is to create trust between strangers. Financial devices like currencies, bonds and shares – 90% of which are just data in computers – build trust between millions of strangers, who can then pool their knowledge and resources together, and cooperate. Humans control the world because we learned to do this. If we now lose trust in human institutions, this will limit the amount of money and handicap economic activity and cooperation. I hope that humanity finds a way to build trustworthy human institutions, instead of adopting technologies of distrust. #bitcoin #trust #distrust #crypto #currency #humanity #institutions #money #finance
