Americans are spending less on dining out: Retail sales at food services and drinking places have been flat over the last 3 months, the weakest growth since February 2025. This is also the 3rd-lowest reading in 2.5 years. Concerningly, the slowdown is taking place during the summer season rather than in February or March, as in previous years. Households are seeing less disposable income and a weakening job market which are shifting purchases toward essentials and away from discretionary items. BREAKING: Statement from Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s office: The ceasefire was set to begin at 7:00 AM.
