@AgreeingBook13 kinda similar but with RE, I don't consider myself a RE fan but I played 4 and 5 which is more than a lot of the modern fans, same with DMC despite only playing like half of 3. 😂

It’s funny how I qualify more as a Zelda fan than most of the modern account larpers despite me not really considering myself one. I have played all the games (not beaten though) at some point but it’s just a franchise that doesn’t eat up all my time and interest.

@ShitpostRock2 pretty much, and it's why American media doesn't resonate with worldwide audiences like it used to, it became too focused on tackling American specific issues instead of dealing with universal themes.

Most anime isn't inherently right- or left-wing, and that seems impossible for some American libtards to understand because they’ve been conditioned to view literally every piece of media through the lens of modern U.S. culture war politics. In reality, most anime are just stories: about ambition, sacrifice, friendship, revenge, war, survival, family or human nature without constantly shoving some preachy pro-abortion, pro-immigration, or “current thing” agenda down your throat every five minutes Japan doesn’t revolve around Western progressive activism, and that’s exactly why so many people enjoy anime in the first place. Characters are allowed to exist without being turned into political checkboxes, and writers focus on making compelling stories instead of lecturing the audience like some smug Hollywood activist. Not every show needs to be a propaganda vehicle for whatever social trend you are pushing this week The funniest part is watching people desperately try to project American partisan politics onto media from a completely different culture because they genuinely can’t comprehend entertainment existing without ideological conditioning attached to it. This is also why most modern American media sucks ass

@MeowyWood pretty much, my issue with Yunnan and Olivia ending up together in Amphibia was that there was essentially no build up and they barely had any chemistry. on the other hand I really liked Applejack and Rainbow Dash in MLP and they actually had great chemistry.

Smiling at each other or talking to each other isn't chemistry. Being friends isn't chemistry. People need to remember that.

@limitedYR I haven't watched it yet either but I like the idea of starting in chronological order, so with Enterprise, especially considering an Enterprise followup is allegedly in the works. A lot of people would suggest avoiding the Kurtzmann era shows though.
