Memes have been one of the biggest drivers of attention, volume, and culture on Solana. If Solana doesn’t fully embrace memes, the next few months could get very interesting. And if that flow starts moving away from SOL, people are going to feel it fast.

The answer is kinda two-fold. Pump likely makes more money from constant new launches + swaps than from a few mega caps sustaining volume. The current structure heavily incentives launching over long-term holding. But the bigger issue is incentives at higher market caps. As a coin grows, the % upside for teams gets reduced relative to the effort/risk needed to keep pushing it higher. Right now teams often make more money farming lower MC volatility than supporting long-term expansion into 100M+ or multi-billions. On Pump’s side, more launches = more swaps = more fees. That’s why the ecosystem naturally leans toward PvP trench culture instead of nurturing long-term runners. Ironically, mega caps usually generate the biggest spot volume overall but through fewer transactions. The system currently rewards transaction velocity more than sustained size.
