A 60-year-old man, Aas Mohammad, was shot dead during a dispute over throwing colours on Holi in Chandipur village of Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. According to media reports and the victim’s family, an altercation between children from both sides escalated when adults intervened, after which the accused, Pinkle Pandey, allegedly fired at Aas Mohammad with a licensed revolver.
