The British F-35B stranded in India likely has sensors like the AN/APG-81 radar, capable of signals intelligence (SIGINT), but no evidence suggests it was equipped for or engaged in spying. Official reports cite a hydraulic failure after an emergency landing due to low fuel and weather, not espionage. Conspiracy theories on X, like Indian radar "locking" the jet or deliberate landing for spying, lack credible evidence and are contradicted by UK-India cooperation. The jet's prolonged grounding and security measures fuel speculation, but these likely reflect logistical concerns, not covert operations. Such theories seem driven by skepticism and geopolitics, not facts.

If you're a dollar millionaires (Rs.8.5 crores networth not including primary residence), it is really an achievement. I've been to Singapore many times. They have a population of 6 million people. Out of which, 0.3 million are dollar millionaires. This is 5% of the population. Becoming a dollar millionaire is an aspirational goal for many Singaporeans. It is a sign of achievement. Another country I want to highlight is Switzerland. I've been here too. Why I'm highlighting Singapore and Switzerland. Both are very rich countries with such a high quality of living. Population of Switzerland is 9 million. 0.5 million people are millionaires. This is again 5% of the population. Even for Swiss, becoming a millionaire is an aspirational goal. So, if you are a dollar millionaire in India, your wealth achievement is phenomenal.

India getting a full taste of what it means to be a target of the West's propaganda machine. It was always going to happen eventually: the more you rise, the more illegitimate you should be seen. You're only virtuous when you're committed to remaining poor. The irony is that this likely won't only change the West's perception of India but also India's perception of the West. India will learn that it doesn't matter if you're a "democracy", anyhow you won't be perceived as such if you rise sovereignly. For one of the unwritten rules of the "rules based order" club is that you can only join it if you're the West or a vassal state that's relinquished its sovereignty. I was listening to India's FM Jaishankar stating that India's strategy was to be a bridge between the West and the rest, because they were uniquely positioned to be so. He'll likely find out this is impossible: one of the West's key characteristics is that "you're either with us or against us", and for a country like India "with us" would mean become a 21st century version of the British raj but with American characteristics. As such, what I predict is that India will smarten up and eventually favor the club of the aggrieved in Brzezinski's famous quote: "potentially, the most dangerous scenario [for America would be] an 'antihegemonic' coalition united not by ideology but by complementary grievances." The only question is how long they'll take to get there. This brings us back to De Gaulle who warned: "The Americans know well, or at least should know, that one doesn’t rely on what’s soft. One should rely on what’s solid. [...] In truth they’re always tempted to rely on what’s soft rather than what’s solid." By soft he meant weak governments that are friendly to them and not backed up by popular will. He thought that only relying on "what's soft" would eventually backfire as "what's solid" would congregate against America. This might be what we're seeing happen in real time.

While many have been critical of #CBDC, we might be missing the big picture, remittances, unbanked economy, and reducing subsidy leakage, to name a few. When anything new comes into the market, the old need to adapt, and the new need to regulate the change.

A/ It is extremely important that thinking people grasp the basics of our modern global monetary system. What you do not know can hurt you. Here is a very basic outline. 1. Nations export to the US and receive dollars. 2. Nations export to nations that export to US.

India borrows at 7.5% vs the UK at 4% (10 yr Govt bond). India has similar GDP, higher GDP growth & Forex reserves, lower exchange rate depreciation, public debt and fiscal deficit to GDP! Not to mention a stable government and policy framework! Colonialism isn't entirely dead!

If you earn ₹5L+ annually in India, you pay Income Tax, GST. Road Tax, Toll, RTO, Stamp Duty if buying a car or home. BCCI earned a total of $1.7 billion from IPL, exempted from Income Tax as a charitable organization. Indian Taxpayers are the most exploited in the world.

Given unprecedented inflation in advanced economies, one has to question their policy choices through the pandemic. While the shock to energy and food prices from the European war is a proximate cause, excessive fiscal stimulus during 2020 had fragilized these countries.
