@BosonProtocol first article explaining why ERC-8183 is not Agentic, not Commerce. Calling something an “Agentic Commerce Protocol” doesn’t make it one. Without protocol-level commerce logic, it’s just an escrow primitive. That’s exactly why Boson built commerce into the protocol itself: dispute resolution, incentives, tokenized commitments, and price discovery all native to the standard.

Big vision @BosonProtocol💥 $BOSON isn’t just another protocol - it’s building the decentralized commerce layer for the Intelligent Economy. Verifiable, fair exchange of #RWAs between humans and AI. Read the full Masterplan VI below👇
Boson@BosonProtocol

Boson Masterplan Part VI is out: Boson is the decentralized commerce layer of the Intelligent Economy, verifiably fair exchange of any RWA between any agent (human or AI). Read about Boson & The Intelligent Economy: x.com/BosonProtocol/…

Just finished going through Boson's Masterplan Part VI preview, worth paying attention to. The thesis is straightforward: We're moving toward an economy running at machine speed. AI doesn't just assist anymore, it acts and when agents become the primary economic actors, the entire foundation of commerce shifts. Agents can't pick up a phone, can't escalate to a manager, can't work it out over email. They need deterministic outcomes, full stop. Boson's positioning is clear: They're building the decentralized commerce layer for the Intelligent Economy, not a payment platform, not a token wrapper, but the actual execution layer where value changes hands between any agents, human or otherwise. First integration lands next month, which is sooner than people realize. The part worth sitting with: "a post-human agentic economy means orders of magnitude more transactions." This isn't linear growth, it's exponential, at that scale, determinism stops being a differentiator and becomes the baseline requirement for anything to function at all. $BOSON sits above this, structuring incentives across exchange, boundary services, and integrations as the layer scales. Could it fail? Always, but the thesis is sound. The old architecture built for institutions, the current one built for people, the next one built for agents. @BosonProtocol is laying that foundation now, and when machine speed commerce turns on, it won't wait for anyone.

The question is not whether Ethereum is trustless. It's whether the Ethereum Foundation will fight for a trustless ecosystem. After six years building Boson as decentralized commerce infrastructure, I've learned: trustlessness is necessary but not sufficient. A thread on why 🧵 — Justin Banon, Co-founder Boson Protocol

@BosonProtocol Partnerships are great, but without real support for trustless builders, aren’t we just rebuilding Web2 on blockchain rails? Is Ethereum still fighting for decentralization, or just playing neutral? @ethereum @VitalikButerin @ethereumfndn

@BosonProtocol @ethereum must support decentralized power. Trustlessness isn’t guaranteed, it has to be defended at any cost

CZ is right. Tokenizing gold through custodial trust is just digitizing IOUs—same counterparty risk, same potential defaults. This isn't bringing gold on-chain, it's bringing trust assumptions on-chain. The critical distinction: soft tokenization vs hard tokenization. Soft tokenization = custodial models where you hold a token representing a claim. If the custodian fails (like FTX), your property rights evaporate. These aren't computable capital—they're digital paper promises with analog failure modes. Hard tokenization = trust-minimized mechanisms where smart contracts encode buyer and seller commitments as forward contracts, tokenized as redeemable NFTs. Either the physical asset is delivered as specified, or compensation is guaranteed through algorithmic dispute resolution. This is what @BosonProtocol dACP (decentralized Agentic Commerce Protocol) provides: mechanisms that confer hard property rights on real-world assets with reliability comparable to native on-chain assets. Soft tokenization digitizes the old system. Hard tokenization builds the new one.

Saying the obvious. Most people “in crypto” know this, most people “not in crypto” may not understand yet. Tokenizing gold is NOT “on chain” gold. It’s tokenizing that you trust some third party will give you gold at some later date, even after their management changes, maybe decades later, during a war, etc. It’s a “trust me bro” token. This is the reason no “gold coins” have really took off. 🤷‍♂️

Peter Schiff reveals he will be launching a tokenized gold product "You'll be able to buy gold on an app through your phone, the gold will be stored in a vault and then you will be able to effortlessly transfer ownership of gold to people you know or redeem it for physical gold"
