Tulsi Gabbard is out as Director of National Intelligence
Effective June 30. She told Trump in the Oval Office today.
The stated reason: her husband Abraham Williams is battling an extremely rare form of bone cancer. She's stepping down to be with him.
She told Congress in March that Iran was not building a nuclear weapon. Trump went to war anyway. Asked about her assessment, he said: "I don't care what she said."
By April he was privately polling cabinet members on whether she should go, while publicly saying he had full confidence in her.
