It's the @brawlerbearz first anniversary today. It's hard to imagine that an entire year has passed since we failed to mint out the first time, even though we gave out half the bearz for free, but look who's still here, thriving in the bear. Today is a good day to reflect on the project, how we got here, and what we are about. This reflection may be a bit long, bear with me ^^ Let's start with the most crucial reason the project is thriving. It's simple. It's community. The community's continual engagement, feedback, and support are directly responsible for positive sentiment, a welcoming social atmosphere, and that meaningful but meaningless metric of floor price stability. We have built a culture of understanding, and we are a very learned community at this point. ➡️Our community takes pride in supporting buildoors and each other, while calling out grifters or bad actors, and pushing forward ideals we want to see in the space. Community is the true secret superpower of web3. I wouldn't call it a direct "utility," but if your favorite project is not trying to empower its holders, they are not leveraging the most integral aspect of the web3 culture. With this foundation alone, the bearz can and will continue to grow. We will move forward without millions of dollars at our disposal. It also certainly doesn't hurt that our core team comprises experienced professionals in every domain that NFT projects need: dev, art, & business. ➡️Our team takes pride in building and delivering the same things other projects do with millions in the treasury. It's like a supervillain arc for us. We want to prove that you can build cool shit with sub 50K and a bit of sweat and tears. So I get asked often, what is the reason to own a bear? It is a tricky question because we are still discovering our niche. We are currently an on-chain gaming ecosystem with a nostalgic nod to old-school RPGs, an item economy akin to Runescape or WoW, and a Pokemon-esque auto battler system with cash tournaments leveraging the NFTs you evolve. It's working, fun, and different in the space, but it could be a more sustainable business model. At "scale," things certainly get more exciting, but we are not there yet. The bear NFT is a dynamic, interactive, composable gaming NFT. We've kept as much on-chain as possible while striving for decent UX. Thinking and being on-chain is one of the core differentiators of our project. A bear is a working concept of a generational, interoperable, and extensible digital asset. A goal for the bearz is to leverage decentralized participation to expand creativity and innovation. If your favorite NFT project isn't aiming for decentralized involvement, they are probably NGMI and might need to help understand that is what makes web3 unique. We are striving for a creator economy at the end of the day. Think about the Sims or Roblox. However, the real reason to buy bearz might be this simple: We are honest. We are transparent. We are creators. We are innovators. We want to grow a community and promote "good" ideals in the space. And it just so happens we have actual gamified utility to use the NFT, so it has a purpose. So where are we going? I don't know exactly, but I know it is not to ZERO. Our team and project ideas have always been ahead of the game. Look at all the NFT projects in the last year that have pivoted to dynamically evolving assets with gamification and opened up revenue streams through this mechanic. They aim to add a function that empowers their holders to act as word-of-mouth marketers, share content, have fun, and forget about the downward-trending market. We will remain ahead because we have always been ahead of our competition. At some point, as long as we keep building, we hope the stars align and get the monetary backing we need to go to the next level. I'll end my reflection on that note. I hope none of this came off as a rant or diatribe. I'm super bullish on the long-term potential of digital assets and NFTs and am passionate about building out use cases that promote the tech.
