$Link I have been a fan of both marines for a while... @ModernSociety33 is one of the 1st Chainlink accounts I followed and partially responsible for Link-pilling... and obviously Fishy is great...probably in my "top 3" of Link follows. I get both takes. I share Modern’s frustration, and I also agree with Fishy’s pragmatic point that the token has begun to see some level of value accrual even if it’s small so far. Us Marines have been here for years, front-running adoption. The lack of transparency around revenue and token capture has been exhausting, and it would be disingenuous to pretend otherwise. That frustration has been earned. There also seems to have been a pivot over the last year toward buybacks and “store of value” narratives. That’s not what I invested in. I didn’t want a meme coin or a digital gold thesis. I invested in Chainlink to be the data middleman of the world, where fees, usage, and staked LINK naturally drove demand straight to Valhalla. Fishy is right on the mechanics: fiat payments don’t mean the token is being bypassed... Regulatory reality forces off-chain rails first, and that’s not a betrayal. But both things can be true at once. If revenue is meant to accrue back to LINK via reserves or buybacks, then the community deserves clarity: How much revenue is coming in? From where? At what scale? What percentage is earmarked for token accrual? And on what timeline? The design may be sound, but without numbers, Marines are being asked to trust. The irony is that Chainlink’s ethos has always been truth over trust. And trust fades without transparency. @SergeyNazarov understands this better than anyone. I’m not bearish... I’m as bullish as ever. But Modern’s frustration isn’t unwarranted here.... Maybe this makes me an idiot, but I trust the team. There’s faith here. I believe this works and if it doesn’t, I go down with the ship... i am fucjed anyway. I’m not a paid shill. I’m not here to farm engagement or cope. I’m here because I believe in what’s being built and the people building it. Marines can believe and question shit... We can ride with the mission while demanding transparency. Both are allowed. It always link or die for me... few💓
