Here’s how it works in practice: Protocol fees: Every time USST is minted or YLD is managed, fees are collected. These aren’t externalized; instead, they cycle back into $STBL. Buybacks & burns: Fees and treasury allocations are used to buy $STBL on the open market. Some of that $STBL is permanently burned (reducing supply), while some may be retained in the treasury for strategic use. The key is that net emissions remain deflationary over time. Value capture: Because all protocol revenue is directed into buybacks, every dollar of activity in the ecosystem directly translates into demand for $STBL. This ensures $STBL is not just a governance token, but the central value-accruing asset. Deflationary flywheel: More RWA adoption → more USST minted → higher protocol fees → more buybacks/burns → tighter supply and stronger value capture for $STBL. So even though protocol fees aren’t being “distributed” in a traditional way, they are monetized through buyback-and-burn mechanics. This makes $STBL both the beneficiary of ecosystem growth and a deflationary asset over time.

🔥 People keep worrying about whether $STBL is actually following its roadmap; let me remind you, they just minted $250,000 worth of USST. $STBL is taking actions that are even exceeding our expectations.
Previously, they announced the buyback and burn plan for $STBL through two methods:
- $1 million per month from the treasury will be used to buy back $STBL.
