Interesting factoid: Lapis Lazuli has been associated with the Egyptian Gods right from the beginning but they have no local sources to mine. 6000 years ago .. and since.. all these lapis lazuli came from the mines of Badakhshan in Afghanistan .. these mines have been actively dug for almost 6000 years.. continuously and one of the most exploited lapis lazuli resource in the world.. Somehow the ancient Egyptians thought that this was special enough to be transported from 3000-4000 km away.. The trade route probably looked something like this: Badakhshan (Afghanistan) ↓ Bactria / Oxus region ↓ Indus Valley cities ↓ Iranian plateau trade routes ↓ Mesopotamia (Sumer, Akkad) ↓ Levant ports (Byblos, Ugarit) ↓ Egypt This route spans over 4,000 km. Let that sink in. More recent and from astrologer @lunarastro108 who has recommended Lapis Lazuli for skin conditions as a Saturn stone. Relatedly : it works. I tried it on one of my cats (Removed the pictures as it may be disturbing to some)
