21/ It’s sad but not surprising to see the SEC continue its unfair attacks on crypto.
As I said, we knew the SEC planned to ramp up enforcement this year, so I assume this is only the beginning.
I hope their next move won't be so unfair & unjust.

13/ Regardless, although most of gov't is set for a productive & positive (if uneventful) H2 for crypto, you should be ready for the SEC to ramp up its attacks. I hope it won't, but if it does, know that it acts largely alone, without (or against) the consensus of policymakers.

1/ The SEC filed a complaint yesterday accusing ten companies of violating the securities laws: nine digital asset issuers & one exchange.
None of them are defendants in the case. None of them will get their day in court.

So yes, they are no longer placing price controls on money, and allowing the market to decide the cost of money.
When price controls are lifted, prices tend to surge

One of the reasons prices have gone up is because a handful of companies who control the market have raised shipping prices by as much as 1,000%. It’s outrageous — and I’m calling on Congress to crack down on them.

@davidvallieres IOW, investigating the shipping companies MIGHT marginally improve things, but it won’t fix the underlying issues and won’t solve the problem.

@davidvallieres I agree, except that such increases may be inappropriately manipulated to increase revenue. So there is at least SOME merit to ensuring that the increases are justifiable. But this is a clear attempt to place MOST of the blame where it likely doesn’t belong.
