@mdudas @bulktrade @solana I disagree that bulk brings a bunch of value (REV) to solana. It’s off chain matching so how does Solana capture value? How much REV does bulk contribute to Solana?

The sad thing is that we even share the same validator set TVL and carry yield is also on Solana… We have a far greater chance of winning because we are able to offer a superior experience to the current leaders We solve the execution bottlenecks while accruing value directly to the chain and its stakers What id like to see the maths of, is how much ‘value’ accrues from; >100,000 txs on Solana >15% of $100,000,000 to Stakers The shortsighted view of txs = king completely kills any innovative approach and bringing value back to the L1 Pushing folks away in favour of a vanilla exchange just because it ticks a box turns friends into enemies. We could take this infra now and drop it in any validator set in the world Imagine folks like canton and tempo, or any distributed L1 now having an endstate perps experience, all because you chose to repeatedly shun those who valued alignment with you Wanting a fully native DEX is understandable, alienating everyone else is not

I angel invested like ~$500k into various Solana and Monad projects, a couple Bitcoin related ones.. Mostly during 2023 and early 2024..
Don't hear a peep from 99% of them.. On paper I'm up a couple million dollars, it's illiquid and I have no idea if and when I'll ever get an exit.
I have made so much more money investing in memecoins and liquid crypto coins..
Stay liquid, never angel invest in crypto it's a huge mistake

At a time when Solana is fighting on many different battlefields, telling the users and founders of the past 6 years to go elsewhere is not a choice I'd make.
It's still not consensus to bet on Solana. There's a lot of work that needs to be done for user trust, ecosystem growth, and application usage. Things are better than they were before, and have a lot of room to grow. That needs Champions and Missionaries who have ties into the ecosystem.
Ignoring them is where it loses to other chains, in applications, users, and capital.
Simply put - There's a lack of a "we".

Current market sentiment is eerily similar to 2023. Market trending down, early-stage builders struggling, and literally everyone is pivoting to AI - again 😭. Back then, there was a 👠 TG chat that had the, like, ~50 people that still believed in @solana when everyone else had left. Some in that group went on to create @bonk_inu. Many of them are now the founders you know and love. Hard times bring people together. An early "aha" moment for @sphere_labs was when our on/off-ramp made it easier for those 50 people to angel invest in each other when no one else would. Three years later, we're proud to keep supporting crypto-native builders. Move your raised funds into your bank account for min fees and headache. Just keep doing the thing.
