It takes time to become a highly effective teacher. It also takes time to become a highly effective leader. Both need patience, support, encouragement, praise and effective mentoring. With focus on maximizing strengths, which is growth mindset!
I am honored to say I’ll be transitioning from Assistant Principal to the Principal of the Alternative Education campus in @OfficialCISD ! I’m thrilled to serve the students and community of CISD in this new capacity! I’m so humbled to have been chosen for this new role!!

It’s done and defended successfully. I cried my eyes out today when they welcomed me to the club as Dr. Bush. Thank you to all who grew me and didn’t let me give up!!

As the new year begins, remember we often hire teachers based on their strengths, but manage them based on their weaknesses. This is often how we teach as well. Let's focus more on strength building so everyone can maximize their potential.
