@gerryvarty @pwharris The way the new Alberta curriculum is heartbreaking. My hope is that we can still inspire enough teachers to utilize best pedagogical strategies possible to support their students even with this curriculum.

@pwharris The NEW Alberta Mathematics curriculum was written EXPLICITLY to emphasize Algorithms and Memorization over Understanding and Fluency. This may look fine, to someone who already has a reasonable depth of understanding... but it isn't how kids DEVELOP that understanding. #abed
