What was the problem here?
Some genius didn't figure out that the ship's masts extended above the ship's waterline to a greater extent than the underside of the bridge.

🚨🇺🇸 BREAKING: SHIP SLAMS INTO BROOKLYN BRIDGE — MULTIPLE INJURIES REPORTED A Mexican navy tall ship struck the Brooklyn Bridge, toppling a 147-foot mast and injuring multiple crew members. Roughly 200 people were aboard when the Cuauhtémoc collided with the bridge. Search and rescue ops are ongoing as some may have fallen into the East River.
