A few final thoughts:
- Jimmy Rollins- 95 career OPS+ is shocking
- Torii Hunter- defensive metrics don't love him nearly as much as you'd think from the highlight tape
- Felix Hernandez not a long enough prime while Hamels and Buehrle didn't have good enough peak years
Dustin Pedroia and David Wright- in 2013 I thought both these guys were on their way to Cooperstown but injuries ended their careers prematurely. Pedroia played just 114 games after turning 33 and Wright 77 after turning 32
I have tremendous respect for all of these players. It’s an honor to even be included on a ballot, this year there are 5 players who deserve enshrinement
It's an honor to have a vote and I don't take this responsibility lightly. It's always hard narrowing down such a great list of ballplayers but I think these 6 players had careers that warrant baseballs greatest achievement
It's really smart how countries require proof of vaccination cards to enter the country, because nobody has EVER been able to fake one of those. The system is bulletproof.
