@bearsfan302 @DynastyBearsZ @79illwill Well the solution was Ozzy, but unfortunately he got hurt. And his injury is not going to let him comeback this year. And maybe alter his career. So yes, it is not ideal, but we might have to settle for serviceable. It’s the cards that we have been dealt so far.

@cscar04 @DynastyBearsZ @79illwill I hate that word serviceable. That's basically saying he sucks and you hope to get by with him. Can we like actually have a solution?
English

Bears media keep saying LT is a huge need. What am I missing here?
Sure Ozzy is hurt, but he’s expected to return late next season. They signed Braxton, Benedet and Wills.
I wouldn’t be opposed to drafting a LT day 3. But drafting LT high seems shortsighted.
Unless there is a Trent Williams 2.0 is available. There is not..
English

@DynastyBearsZ @79illwill Especially considering Braxton was no where near 100% last year. As long as he can be serviceable this season, it’d be a win.

@79illwill Personally I think Willis and Braxton will be sufficient. And I agree it’s not a strong class. Most likely a smoke screen. But wouldn’t be shocked at all if they did it.

To my fellow parents of underage children:
This Mr. ORNG case is pretty horrific and it’s getting harder and harder to protect our children from these predators. They earn the trust of students and parents alike and take themselves completely out of consideration for these kinds of actions. As a father of 5 kids ages 14 and under, I can’t tell you how much of my daily energy is spent worrying about the safety of my children and I’m sure many of you are no different. There’s no easy answer and we can’t be there to protect our kids 100% of the time, but wanted to share some thoughts that *may* help some of you to shelter your children.
1. Social media isn’t a right, it’s a privilege and a responsibility. In this case, specifically, social media was the outlet used to lure and manipulate these kids. We have invested in Bark Phones(bark.us) for our children that are of age to use them, which allow us to approve applications that are installed on the devices, alert us of any concerning exchanges, and any applications that allow access to inappropriate content. The world today presents plenty of viewing opportunities for content inappropriate for children. They don’t need access to it, nor the world to them, in the palm of their hand.
2. Limiting your child’s online presence isn’t control, it’s love. Our kids are getting exposed to harmful content way too early and often. It only serves to harm them. The innocence of our children should be cherished and protected.
3. If you have the availability to participate in your child’s extracurricular activities, get involved. After school activities, sports teams, church programs. They’re all great for our kids *on the surface*. But, unfortunately, they’re also some of the preferred mediums for these predators to interact with our children. If you have the time, I strongly encourage you to join the staff and participate. You won’t regret spending more time with your kiddo and you’ll be able to help ensure their safety and the safety of those around them.
To those children and families victimized by this predator and people like him - I’m deeply sorry you had to endure something like this and your trust was violated. Thoughts and prayers will never be enough to undo what has happened, but you’ll be in mine nevertheless.
