We are sad to share that our first attempt at funding was rejected. We share this to provide clarity on our "Project Malta" situation for the foreseeable future. For now, we will be halting the Malta Gaming Academy project, Counter-Strike tournaments and the finalization of our facility. To clarify, the only projects that were effected by this news are related to "Project Malta". Our Counter-Strike division is still operating to its fully capacity.
When CSDE moved to Malta, we made a clear commitment to improve the Esports scene in Malta through tournaments, grassroots development and bring high level players here to boost the scene. Which is also an objective of Malta itself. It is a shame that we have to put an end to our projects in Malta, as they were going very well up until now. We do not have the resources to continue these projects without help.
Although this is very disappointing news for us, we are going to continue working and hope to restart these projects soon, as a commitment to our objectives. We apologize for letting our academy students, tournaments participants and those who were excited for the new facility down. We will not give up.
We ask that if you can, please share this post, especially if you are from Malta. We want to show our commitment and what we have done in the community in such a short time, with the possibility that it will end up with the right person who can help us continue our commitment. We hope to provide a more positive update in the future.
