Four Israelis arrested at Koh Phangan villa; police seize high-potency “Labubu” pills Thai authorities arrested four Israeli men at a luxury villa on Koh Phangan late on January 23 following reports of a loud party and suspicious activity. Tourist Police, working with local police, district officials and immigration officers, seized cocaine, MDMA and a new drug known locally as “Labubu” or “candy.” Police said the bright blue tablets, pressed in the shape of a popular art toy, contained highly concentrated MDMA and were commonly mixed with other substances, including ketamine, cocaine and caffeine—an especially dangerous polydrug combination. Officials warned that such mixtures significantly increase the risk of overdose and sudden cardiac arrest.
