@audrarowell94 Feedback gives students the opportunities to reflect on what they did well on and what they could do better. This is so much more impactful than just being given a numberic grade and having to wonder what I could have done better. This message is shared with parents and st.

@audrarowell94 When we help learners to think about their thinking in creative problem solving, we empower them to become more independent. This will help them in all areas of life.

@audrarowell94 Kindergarteners come to us with big imaginations. We need to model using our own imaginations in front of them as much as possible. We need to encourage them to keep thinging in creative, different ways. #sscbookstudy

@audrarowell94 Imagination is critical to creative thinking. Our imaginations are how we broaden our world through our thoughts and feelings. Our imaginations help us see the world in varied, creative ways. These two things go hand in hand. #sscbookstudy

@audrarowell94 Innovation needs to be differentiated at all levels through scaffolding and modeling. Younger learners will need explicit modeling of what innovation looks like, sounds like, etc. Oral communication skills will be vital to their understanding as they work together. #sscbookstudy

@audrarowell94 I would be a facilitator for this lesson. I would listen, encourage thoughtful, deep connections, questions, or ideas, and provide support as needed to reluctant learners. These lessons are where the most meaningful learning is given a platform to occur. #ssbookstudy

@audrarowell94 Absolutely! We should always be refining how and what we teach to best meet the needs of all our students. If a lesson is relevant and applicable, students will grow and change in their thinking. When we think about our thinking, we are all better learners. #sscbookstudy

@audrarowell94 These lessons are realistic and beneficial for all learners regardless of where they fall in the learning spectrum. We all think differently than everyone else and need to be challenged to think and do things in varied ways. The struggle is so necessary. #sscbookstudy

@audrarowell94 Learning is fluid and not just about a product. Learning is an ongoing, life long process. So, too, is creativity. Our creativity changes with our experiences, new learning, and choices that we make. “Creativity is intelligence having fun.” -Albert Einstein

@audrarowell94 Creativity needs to be nurtured because so many of us, teachers and students alike, do not fully understand/embrace what it means to be creative. A growth mindset helps us to better understand our own creativity and the creativity of others.

@audrarowell94 Students need varied opportunities and friends to work with to share their thinking and learn as much as possible from each other. This includes letting the students choose their own groups when possible. Voice and choice encourages creativity.

@audrarowell94 In my classroom, we are all about choices. This empowers students to take control of their own learning - even our youngest learners are able to do this with modeling and lots of repetition. I also frequently change how students are grouped and who they are working with.
