3/ Reas also mints under the name @csrsnt, revealed in 2023 after two years of anonymity. The name came from an autocorrect of “Casey Reas,” but also from poetry: a caesura is a pause, a structural break. Interruption. Glitch. System rupture.

gämma, exhibited at @FeralFile in 2022. Probably one of the first generative art projects to have its code stored on-chain on Tezos 🖤

CSRSNT-DAAI-054-of-128, @csrsnt, 2022 — on @versumofficial Acquired by @lerandomart on May 28, 2023 Reas's AAI series originates from his collaboration with Jan St. Werner of the electronic music duo Mouse on Mars. The series is a direct evolution Reas developed for that collaboration. In 1957, Max Mathews was the first to demonstrate computer synthesized music: 1957: Max Mathews Develops MUSIC I "Mathews, computer music pioneer, developed the computer music composition language on an IBM 704 while at Bell Labs. MUSIC I was the first demonstration of computer synthesized music. Mathews himself described the development: ”Computer performance of music was born in 1957 when an IBM 704 in NYC played a 17 second composition on the Music I program which I wrote. The timbres and notes were not inspiring, but the technical breakthrough is still reverberating.”"
