Bruno Sena da Fonseca has been appointed as an Expert Member of the International Scientific Committee for Stone (ISCS) under the International Council of Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS).

This work by Gabriel Carvalho showcases the development of nano-structured electrodes for green hydrogen production via alkaline electrolysis. The synthesis method is simple and cost-effective, using highly active metals recovered from urban mining for alkaline electrolysis.

The goal of the NGS - New Generation Storage project is the development of graphene based electrodes using recycled graphite from waste batteries and improvngi their metrics (power and energy density) to be applied in new energy storage systems, namely supercapacitors.

The NGS - New Generation Storage project aims to utilize black mass, a byproduct of spent lithium-ion battery recycling, for supercapacitor applications. This initiative focuses on transforming recovered metals into high-performing electrode materials.

The CORKCAP project aims to develop environmentally friendly supercapacitors from cork-based carbon, functionalized with various metal compounds. These composites are then subjected to electrochemical and structural characterization to be utilized in the assembly of coin cells.

From November 18 to 22, CSSE will be at the European Hydrogen Week in association with HyLab - CoLAB. We are being represented by the PhD researcher Gabriel Carvalho, who develops novel, sustainable, and high-performance nano-structured electrodes for hydrogen production.

Jules Thibault Aeby participates in the project ISOP. His PhD aims to assess the behavior of corrosion resistant alloys in supercritical CO2 for heat exchangers in thermal powerplants, studying the materials through different electrochemical and metallographic methods.
