Tom Osborne is one of the best coaches in college football history. He was a 3 time National Champion at Nebraska and 13 time conference champion. He was 255-49-3 all time as a head coach and named the Coach of the decade in the 1990’s by ESPN.

Great stuff! Tommy was so much fun to watch. Loved hearing Coach Ron Brown let the current Huskers inside who Tommy was and the adversity he faced and overcame to become a multi National Champion! One of the best to ever play!!

Carl Weathers had never boxed before Rocky (1976) and during his audition, Weathers was asked to spar and read lines with the screenwriter (Sylvester Stallone), whom he didn't realize was also the star of the film. After hearing the writer's mumbling, Weathers told: “If you get me a real actor, I could do a much better job,” which impressed Sylvester Stallone enough to cast him. Instead of being offended, Sylvester Stallone was instantly convinced that Weathers had the exact "arrogance" and "trash-talking" energy needed for the flamboyant heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. After his passing in 2024, Stallone said, “I never could have accomplished what we did with Rocky without him.” After Weathers passed in 2024, Stallone posted a video standing in front of a painting from one of their scenes together. "I never could have accomplished what we did with Rocky without him."

By chance we had to go to Smith Center, KS today.. After reading “Our Boys” by @joedrape recently, I had to take my oldest by “Roger Barta Way” and see Hubbard Stadium. Legendary place!
