May is Mental Health Awareness Month. With finals wrapping up and commencement underway next week, there is a lot that can overwhelm you. Thankfully, CAPS offers on-campus counseling and psychological services for students. Be sure to check in on yourself and others during this month. We are proud to partner with CAPS to offer the Mobile Crisis Team, which consists of a crisis response clinician and a campus safety specialist.‌

When driving, keep your eyes up and be mindful of pedestrians crossing your path, especially when driving through campus. You never know when a student is late for class and may accidentally run across the street. Stay alert, and keep the roadways safe for all. ‌

Our department will host a team of assessors from the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) this month, as part of our agency’s pursuit of national accreditation.   The assessment will include a comprehensive review of our policies and procedures, management, operations, and support services to ensure compliance with IACLEA’s nationally recognized standards for campus law enforcement agencies. The Titan community and the public are invited to provide feedback on our department as part of the assessment process. Telephone comments may be submitted directly to the assessors by calling 657-278-5533 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2026. Following the review, the assessors will submit their findings to the IACLEA executive board, which will determine our accreditation status. Accreditation is awarded for a four-year period, during which agencies must submit annual reports demonstrating continued compliance.
