Riders will be able to report the line, car number, run, and direction of the train. The CTA’s chat feature offers something similar, but it only consumes the data and doesn’t publish it anywhere. I have made a FOIA request to try to get that data and will provide updates.

You won’t hear much from this account until November, but I wanted to mention a project that I’m working on that will need the help of my fellow CTA riders.

For some reason the train on the Yellow Line wasn’t able to be tracked today. Nonetheless, thank you for another great year and Happy Holidays! Keep tracking those trains and buses! I’ve got some exciting site upgrades planned for next year cta4j.app
