A new study found that the median incubation period for Mpox virus (MPXV) clade Ib, a novel MPXV subclade, is 13.5 days, with differences by transmission route. The findings suggest that the current 3-week MPXV monitoring period recommended by the WHO may be insufficient for a portion of clade Ib infections, potentially leading to missed cases and ongoing transmission. bit.ly/48Ae9NX
