But both parents carried the sickle cell gene, making that path incredibly complicated. So the family took an extraordinary step. Through In Vitro Fertilization screening, 34 egg cells were harvested from CeCe Boozer. Ten became fertilized sickle-cell-free embryos, and only two were a perfect match. Those two embryos became Cameron and Cayden Boozer. Years later, Carmani is coming off a season playing baseball at the University of Fort Lauderdale. Meanwhile, the twins are expected to follow the same path as their father, with the NBA calling next.
