Jensen was in Tokyo and met with former Sega CEO Shoichiro Irimajiri, who saved Nvidia from bankruptcy with a $5 million check in 1995. At Nvidia’s IPO in 1999, Sega sold its entire stake for $15 million (3x). Jensen told Rogan the stake would be worth over $1 trillion. Jensen thanked Irimajiri for believing in him and sending Nvidia on an “unbelievable” journey.
