The Nahuat language nearly became extinct after the massacre of the Pipil people by dictator Maximiliano Hernández Martínez in 1932. The program by Universidad Don Bosco to preserve it is crucial and heroic, but the Bukele government wants to phase it out. elfaro.net/en/202302/opin…

In my absence I started a little digital history/gardening project. My town's (Bristol, VA) historical African American Cemetery has fallen into disrepair, full of invasive species, tall grass, and dingy or damaged headstones.
