Coco Gauff at 9/1 for the French Open. Am I missing something here? Double the price she should be...

@roryjiwani @Mikedq The rest of the quarter looks weak but her side of it is tough. Galfi and Townsend are #34 and #38 on my clay ratings so basically the hardest non seeds she could have got. Then Potapova in r3 is on the tougher side given the form she’s in atm

@roryjiwani @Mikedq Small drift on my machine after the draw. Very tough first few rounds. Townsend, Galfi then Potapova is about the worst she could’ve got. From then on it looks easier.

@roryjiwani @Mikedq You could make a case for every player having added pressure really. Swings and roundabouts. I definitely wouldn’t say there’s no pressure on Coco. The 9/1 could look good depending on the draw, but looks fair right now

@cufc4795 @Mikedq She's under the radar (again) this year. No pressure, certainly not compared to Svitolina and the home crowd, or Sabalenka who still hasn't won it.

@roryjiwani Yeah agree, I could never have Saba or Ryba at the prices. Kostyuk has gone well at RG before and don’t think it being slower than Madrid will harm her massively. Muchova’s prep hasn’t been ideal but Cirstea could go well. All hinges on the draw

@cufc4795 Depends on the draw, and all Kostyuk's form is on faster clay so I'd expect Coco to win comfortably. I think she's a far better price than Saba or Ryba. Muchova and Cirstea are my other picks, btw.

@roryjiwani I actually do too, but Gauff can’t be much shorter than 9/1. Even if she was pick ‘em against Ryba, she’d still have to face a Muchova/Kostyuk type player in QF where she wouldn’t be any shorter than 1.5.
