if you know 2 languages, your native language and English, you didn't really learn another language. given how prominent it is, it's more like learning 0.5 languages. on the other hand, a English native speaker learning another language is like learning 1.5 languages

Observation. Brazil has arguably the smallest percentage of cigarette smokers I've seen among all the 35 countries I've visited.
