CUKashmir students bring laurels to varsity Ganderbal, May 14: The students of the Departments of Biotechnology and Computer Science and Engineering, Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) have brought laurels to the institution by achieving remarkable success.

Chaired the Industry Leaders Roundtable for #BharatInnovates2026 with global industry leaders and institutional partners to strengthen India’s deep-tech and research-driven innovation ecosystem. India’s innovation ecosystem is powered by extraordinary talent from IITs, IISc and other leading institutions to those in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, driving progress across AI, semiconductors, climate-tech, mobility, health-tech and advanced manufacturing, with both national relevance and global potential. This momentum is reflected in growing global recognition of India as a core innovation partner. Hon'ble President Emmanuel Macron has underscored that the question is no longer whether India innovates but “who will innovate with India” with France positioning itself as a leading partner in this journey.

Bharat Innovates 2026 proudly highlights Altmin, a deep tech startup driving India’s clean energy and battery materials revolution. Focused on building a fully integrated lithium ion battery supply chain, Altmin is developing India’s first LFP cathode giga factory in Telangana, strengthening the nation’s push toward sustainable mobility and energy independence. Altmin is also part of an elite group of deep tech startups selected for the prestigious Bharat Innovates 2026 program by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to be showcased from 14–16 June 2026 in Nice, France. Engaged with Ambassadors, High Commissioners and members of the diplomatic community on Bharat Innovates 2026. I am grateful for their participation in this interactive session and for the constructive exchange on global innovation cooperation. At a time of rapid technological change, there is a growing global need for stronger collaboration in education, research and deep-tech innovation. India is emerging as a trusted partner in the global innovation ecosystem, supported by a startup base of over 200,000 and early innovation platforms like Atal Tinkering Labs engaging more than 1.1 crore students. Indian youth are contributing across AI, semiconductors, space, biotech, clean energy and advanced manufacturing. This momentum is aligned with 13 national priority areas and strengthened by India’s Digital Public Infrastructure, which offers scalable, inclusive models for global development and governance.

A Diplomatic Interaction, on Bharat Innovates 2026, with the Hon'ble Union Minister of Education, Shri @dpradhanbjp, was organised at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi, bringing together Ambassadors, High Commissioners, diplomats and officials from the GoI. Shri Pradhan in his address highlighted Bharat Innovates 2026 as a platform to deepen global partnerships in innovation, research, higher education and entrepreneurship under the India–France Year of Innovation.
