VTubing is female dominated.
Yet Luxiem, a male gen, was Nijisanji EN "golden goose" for years. And Nijisanji JP men are still doing fine.
Male VTuber can find success if given the chance.
Cover had one male gen who could have competed. It was called Tempus. They mismanaged it

I'm honestly not sure what Clover could have done to "promote" Holostars more since when you get down to it Vtubing is a very female dominated market. The majority of guys want to see cute girls, and I'm willing to bet most women into vtubing also want to see cute girls too.

@ShitpostRock2 Other than that Niji is also "known" for the "you're on your own unless you're top/popular af" way of management, so it's all profits/views in the end

@ShitpostRock2 People who're bringing up Niji as an example, yes you're not wrong there are famous male vtubers that can sorta compete or make it out, but you gotta realise only those that you guys mentioned are the 1 actually competing/doing well, while the others are just trying to survive

People saying that Cover did not do enough to promote Holostars are delusional, it's time to just admit that men in v-tubing simply attract a significantly smaller audience

Cover Corp has decided to limit or stop company productions or backing for HOLOSTARS as a project--which includes 3D Streams, Anniversaries, concerts, merch, and even original songs. They admit that this is due to Holostars as a brand not being financially sustainable, and that by doing this they hope to make it so. They will still continue to support individual projects for members, but company-wide support is going to be significantly limited. Can't say I wasn't expecting it, but it's a major bad news for all Holostars fans and Holostars members...

@ShitpostRock2 I mean nijisanji does it, some of their male talents compete with some of the hololive female talents in subs and ccv, it’s possible difficult but possible

@Tarrin25 @ShitpostRock2 If you check out the overall male vs female vtubers view, it's unfortunately a real thing since vtubers are still a "anime fan" sorta thing so they're bound to have more male viewers in comparison to female viewers, and we all know which vtubers male viewers normally attracted to

@ShitpostRock2 I don't think males attract less, there are pretty successful male vtubers, but the brand "Holo" really hurts males, since when you think Holo, you inmediately think about hololive and girls. People who seek mixed collabs avoid hololive/holostars, people who don't mind either way

no matter how talented you are, you might not end up being successful. whats needed then is either incredible luck with algorithm, or support from others to push you towards where you need and deserve to be. its frustrating when you have neither of those.

Did you really think they just abandoned Stars after they didn't work out for like 1 year? Stars has not been pulling in viewers for a long fking time now

They've been sponsoring/supporting Stars for a long time but it just doesn't work out so it became a dead cycle of Wanted to become more popular > need to create more projects to advertise/attract views > don't have money > not popular enuf

🚨 NEW BODYCAM FOOTAGE RELEASED
The traffic stop that went viral now has bodycam showing what actually happened.
Deputies in San Marcos pulled over a red Hyundai Sonata for a vehicle code violation late at night.
While checking the car, they noticed registration inconsistencies and damage to the steering column, raising suspicions the vehicle could be stolen.
Then things escalated.
Police say the 33-year-old passenger ignored repeated commands, rolled up his window, reached toward the floorboard, and armed himself with a semiautomatic handgun.
Officers safely removed the 21-year-old driver, but the passenger refused orders to drop the weapon and raised the gun.
At that point, five deputies and an officer opened fire.
The man was pronounced dead.
The original video sparked intense debate online… but now the bodycam is adding new context to what unfolded.
